Fundraising

What school items is the PTO trying to support? We are glad you asked!

The Flashy and Exciting items:

VR/AR Equipment

Did you know that new technology is making it possible for our teachers to bring social studies to life? With VR/AR equipment, our teachers can lead students through a virtual field trip as far away as Egypt or even to the battlefields of Gettysburg! Bringing concrete images to abstract concepts greatly benefits all of our kids to heighten understanding.

Computer Carts

As we move into a more technology based world, technology needs increase faster than we can get district funding. This will take considerable time, but we would love to have a computer cart for each classroom. Computer carts; however, are pretty expensive. It costs approximately $20,000 per computer cart. Currently we have one per grade level (2 in 6th grade) and an additional cart in the computer lab.

Classroom Transformations

Have you seen some of the AMAZING classroom transformations some of our teachers have done? The kids go crazy for these amazing hands-on experiences that completely change the classroom for the day to make it totally interactive. These transformations are a lot of work for the teachers, but are well worth it. We would like to make a supply closet for them of room transformation goodies that they can share betwen classrooms rather than using their personal funds to put these together.

Basics:

Library Needs

Did you know that the majority of the science books were removed from the library due to them being outdated? The average library book is 18 years old. When the books were required to be removed, the district did not have the funding to replace those books. We are trying to raise $10,000 for science research books for the library.

Amazon Wish Lists

All of the classrooms are in need of items to keep the rooms running smoothly. Below are the teacher’s Amazon wishlists. It’s easy and fast to contribute and help the teacher build special moments in the classroom as well!
